The High King of Tara

The year is 853 AD.  The Norsemen have terrorized the green hills of Erie for more than a decade and look to be here to stay.  Rivalry and strife abound and no one king can claim ascendancy over any other.  Will the Kings of Erie set aside their petty squabbling and defeat the Viking menace or will there internecine rivalry spell the end of their freedom.  Who will be the next High King of Tara?  There is is more on the horizon and the sound of steel of steel is in the wind.

Here on this page you will find the rules and the map for the newest miniatures war-game campaign for Field of Glory to stir my fancy . . . The High King of Tara.  In the coming months I might even post some pictures of painted Norse-Irish and Vikings to go along with it.

  1. Sounds really fun. I'm thinking about doing a campaign so reading others' ideas is really valuable. Incidentally, I'm no expert but I think it's the green fields *of Erin* (na hÉireann), rather than 'of Eire'; it changes for the genitive case "of Ireland".
    Cheers,
